Philip Q. Seabrook, age 94 of Riverside, passed away on Monday January 23, 2012. He was born on October 15, 1917 in Eaton, OH, to the late Victor and Elsie Seabrook. In addition to his parents, Phil is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Seabrook; beloved companion, Mary Borkowski; four brothers, Milton, Robert, Richard, and Keith Seabrook; and sister, Shirley Vanhorn.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Judith Lyn Mantia; two grandchildren, Tom Mantia and Lori (John) Kilian; three great grandchildren, Shawn, Tommy and Jenna; and other family members and good friends.
Phil retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he worked as an electrician. He is also the former owner of Phil's Electric Service. Phil honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, golfing and playing baseball. Phil loved watching his great grandson race BMX bikes as well as his great granddaughter dance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior from 12:00-2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
