Philip Lee Barnum

Philip L. Barnum, age 88, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home.

Philip was born August 4, 1924 in Hillgrove, OH to the late Paul & Mary Barnum. He grew up in Dunkirk, IN and graduated with the class of 1942.

Philip also attended The University of Dayton. He moved to Dayton in 1980 where he built, owned, and operated B&L Packaging Co. for 30 years.

Philip is survived by his wife of 17 years, Judith Barnum; siblings, Eugene Barnum, Charles Barnum, Ila Yaney and David Barnum; 7 nephews; and 6 nieces.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 1-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 3pm. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, where he will be buried next to his first wife, Nina Barnum.
