Philip Alden Kanost, age 68, of Dayton, OH went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 4, 2013.
He was born June 30, 1944 in Washington D.C. and born again into the Family of God around 1954.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Arschal Kanost.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Caton (nee: Wine) Kanost, of Dayton, OH; brother, John Wesley Kanost; sister, Susan Loraine (nee: Kanost) Sivak, both of Dayton, OH; sister, Alison Luann (nee: Kanost) Ollis of Indianapolis, IN; and brother, Gary Alan Kanost of Belfonte, PA.
Philip graduated from Richmond High School, IN in 1962 and worked at the Second National Bank in Richmond, IN for 28 years retiring in 1988.
He was a quiet man in life, but he is free and rejoicing with our Lord right now.
Family and friends will celebrate his Homegoing with visitation from 12pm to 1pm Thursday February 7, 2013 and a service immediately following at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH 45429.
Pastors Roger Jensen and Sherwin Bowser are officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH with military honors.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
