Phil S. Parsons "Scott", age 71 of Tipp City, passed away July 4, 2017. He was born April 12, 1946 in Carlinville, IL to his late father, George Parsons and his mother, Anna Mae Parsons of Quincy, IL and she still survives.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Duesterhaus; children, Zack (Michelle) Parsons of Round Lake Heights, IL, Lily Parsons and Gabe Parsons of Tipp City, OH; grandchildren, Malcolm and Sebastian Parsons of Round Lake Heights, IL and brother, Will (Grace) Parsons of San Diego, CA.
Scott was a Library Science Major earning a Master's Degree and became the Library Director in Shelby County, OH. He was an avid reader and musician. Scott's love of the piano extended to performing for many years. He was the President of the Gateway Arts Council in Shelby County for several years. Scott was dearly loved by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Scott's Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10 am at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, 6759 S. County Rd., 25-A, Tipp City, OH 45371.
