Pete Compaleo, age 79, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 26, 1935 in Coalwood, West Virginia the son of the late Patsy and Carmela Compaleo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy R. Compaleo; sister, Pauline Compaleo and brother, Dominic Compaleo.
Pete is survived by his three sons, Pete D. (Karen) Compaleo, Billy J. (Deborah) Compaleo and Tony L. Compaleo; daughter, Carmella A. (Joe) Vitori; five sisters, Rosetta Wolfskill, Rosie Compaleo, Mary Shepard, Francis A. (Tom) Strait and Gina Compaleo; brother, Joe (Pat) Compaleo; seven grandchildren, Nichole (Kyle), Joey (Abbie), Josh, Jacob, Jared, Kyle and Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Ethan; he is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the funeral home with graveside services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Dayton National Cemetery with Military Honors.
