ELAM, Percell, age 84, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Fannie Elam; brothers, Chester, Edward, and Billy Elam, and sister, Geraldine Godsey. Percell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann Ruth Elam; sister, Dana Begley (Doug), Edinburgh, IN; daughters, Debbie Campbell (Don), Lexington, KY, Linda Jacobs (Stephen), Beavercreek, OH, and Teresa Elam (Michael Richards), Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Todd Jacobs, Eric Campbell, Cole Campbell, Emily Campbell Rushing; great grandchildren, Jackson, Rebekah, and Zachary Campbell, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, who loved their uncle "Buster".
He was a veteran with the United States Army serving in Germany and New Mexico and was a proud member of the Army Honor Guard. He was also a member of Brantwood Baptist Church, Dayton, OH and retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1986.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Graveside service 11:00 am on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
