Penny Sturgill, age 60 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born January 14, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl and Hattie Evans.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Evans.
Penny is survived by her sons, Justin Sturgill and Jeremy Sturgill; three grandchildren, Evelyn, Dean and Ruby Sturgill; brother, Randy (Jeneen) Evans; many extended family; friends and her beloved pets.
Penny and her mother, Hattie enjoyed bowling, bingo and traveling together. She was an avid coin collector and adored animals. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio, where her funeral will take place at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Audubon Society in her memory. www.audubon.orgface mask will be worn in all public places.
