Peggy H. Williams, age 88, of Yellow Springs, passed away at home, peacefully, on January 3, 2024. Peggy was born in Nickelsville, Virginia on November 9, 1935 to the late Emerson and Kate Hillman.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Ray, Emerson Jr. (Buster) and Bunny; and James' brothers and sisters, Nell, Dana and Herschel.
She is survived by husband, James "Jim" Williams; daughter, Sandra (Rick) King; son, James Williams II; grandchildren, Tyler King, Zach (Heather) Williams, Kyle (Chaz) Williams, Taylor (Dave) Tickel and Greyson Williams; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Paityn, River and Nathan; brothers, Henry Hillman; sister, Shirley Penley; James' sisters, Ruth Henry, Albuto Williams and JoAnn Peters; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Peggy retired from Moody Woodley Management after 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, canning, shopping, spending time with her family, coworkers and her beloved cat, Butterball.
Peggy was a hard worker and enjoyed the simplicity of the farm life. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy loved spending time outdoors, watching Soap Operas and reading the newspaper.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Peggy will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.
