With profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Peggy Lee Miller, age 69, of Dayton on February 11, 2024. She was born in Dayton on February 18, 1954 to the late Robert and Gwendolyn Staton. In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Craig Staton; sister, Sue Anne Moore and nephew, Andrew Staton.
Peggy is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Jimmie; son, Stephen (April) Milton; grandchildren, Briana (Ritchie) Hayden, Brandon (Naomi) Milton and siblings, Connie (Tom) Dano, Dorothy Dressler, Tracy (Jodi) Staton; along with many other loving family and friends.
She graduated from Belmont High School in 1972 and started work as a data entry clerk for Bank One of Dayton. She later started work at the main Post Office in Dayton, where she would meet her love, Jim. Together they built (and modified) their forever home and a stunning garden that brought tremendous peace and joy to her heart.
Stephen, April, Briana, and Brandon meant the world to her and would happily tell you all about them if you had a few hours to spare. They will forever remember her as the sweet, loving, caring, and selfless mom and grandma.
Peggy had a very keen and successful eye for finding discarded, unique, and quirky antiques, her hobby was driven by her passion of seeing art and beauty in everything around us…especially that which needed "just a little love and attention."
She is deeply loved and missed but remains our brightest beacon of light that eternally reminds us that she is with us always.
