EVANS, Peggy Lee (Wittenbarger) age 65 of Miamisburg, born on May 19, 1941 in Lynch, KY, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, February 19, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton after a courageous but short battle with lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie and her father Floyd. She is survived by her mother Mary Wittenbarger of Lynch, KY, her sons Ernest Jr. and wife Patricia Evans of Miamisburg, OH, Joseph and wife Hope Evans of Sharonville, OH; grandchildren Shannon Evans, Tabitha, Sabrina and Patience Rawlins; sister Dee and husband Nick Ison of Fairfield, OH; brother Robby Wittenbarger of Lexington, KY; nieces and nephews Wesley and wife Tracy Ison, Greg and wife Stella Ison, Jenna, Kelsey, Grayson and Sara Wittenbarger; great nieces and nephews Stacy, Steven and Angela Ison; her beloved little dog, Honey; and a host of other relatives and friends. Peggy was a 1959 graduate of Lynch High School where she was a majorette in the Bull Dogs marching band. She also graduated in 1991 from the Ohio School of Nursing and retired from Vandalia Park Nursing Home after many years of service, ensuring that her patients received the best of care and were treated with dignity and respect. She bowled for several years in numerous leagues. She was a long time member of the American Legion Post 165 of Miamisburg and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of West Carrollton, where she was a great supporter of our veterans. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Sycamore Hospital, Kettering Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for all their love and care.
