Peggy J. Davis

Peggy J. Davis, age 87, passed away February 20, 2022. She was born January 31, 1935 in Huntington, WV to the late Bill and Bessie Skaggs. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Argie Davis; brothers: Bill Skaggs and Carl Skaggs; sisters: Lois Ward and Barbara Goss.

Peggy is survived by her children: Sheila R. Howard (Dana) and Steven C. Davis (Annette); grandchildren: Steven C. Davis II, Rachel Davis, Elisabeth Howard, Erin Bock and Emily Cobb; brothers: Bernard Skaggs and Philip Skaggs; sister, Connie Davis; 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other beloved family members.

Peggy worked as a professional bookkeeper for 50 years. Among her family and friends she was known for her beautiful alto singing voice.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
