Peggy Ann Boyd

Peggy Ann Boyd, age 71 of Riverside, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2018. Peggy was born in Richmond, KY to the late Manford and Elizabeth Horn on March 21, 1947. Peggy married the love of her life, John Boyd on August 10, 1968. The two shared many happy years together.

In her free time, Peggy enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a skilled craftswoman. She was very gifted at crocheting and knitting. Above all, Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in her family. Peggy had a loving and compassionate heart and took in many children in her neighborhood. She was a kind soul and never knew a stranger. Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by siblings, Marcia Horn, James Horn, and Pam Kennedy; and sister-in-law, Maggie Horn.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 50 years, John Robert Boyd; children, Christopher (Julie) Boyd and Holly Reed; grandchildren, Jeffrey Aaron Reed, Amber Lynn Boyd, and Elizabeth Jeanette Reed; brothers, John (Peggy) Horn and Tom Horn; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 1pm. A gathering will be held for one hour prior (12pm - 1pm).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Peggy's memory to the charity of your choice.
