Ruth, Pearl, age 91, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Pearl was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII and a life time member of VFW Post #9927 in Kettering. He was a Tool & Die Maker for NCR, retiring to care for his ailing wife, and was a member of Moraine Heights Baptist Church.

Pearl is survived by his loving wife: Agnes Back-Ruth; son: David Ruth; step daughters: Lorna (Walter) Foer & Frances Ponzell (Tom) Little; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ruben & Alzy (Gregory) Ruth; his first wife: Gertrude Ruth; 4 brothers and sisters and 1 granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd. with Pastor Terrell Hudson officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Hospice of Dayton in memory of Pearl.
