Pauline Watson

July 12, 1927 — October 7, 2022

Early Friday morning, October 7, 2022, Pauline Watson, 95 years young of Huber Heights, Ohio peacefully passed away. God showed favor to Pauline, allowing her to say goodbye, for now, to her family before going home to Jesus. Pauline passed in her home, holding the hands of her son, Mark and daughter-in-law Susan. Pauline was born on July 12, 1927 in Overton County Tennessee to Pete and Anna Maye Tudor. She grew up in Monterey, Tennessee during the depression. We were reminded of this every time we left a light on in the house or wasted ANYTHING.

On September 3, 1946, Pauline married Edgar (Ed) Watson. They moved to Dayton where they raised a daughter, Carolyn Noe, and son, Mark Watson. They were married for almost 53 years until Ed's passing on August 4, 1999. Pauline worked at McCall's/Dayton Press for over 30 years as a bindery worker. She sacrificed greatly and worked hard at this job, out of love for her family.

Pauline loved Jesus with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. She raised her children with the same love. Pauline was a member of North Dayton Baptist church for many years, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and volunteered preparing meals for the families of those who had passed. Pauline will always be remembered for her love of life and her sense of humor. She was, without a doubt, the life of any party. If you were the butt of her jokes or pranks, no matter what, you knew she loved you.

Pauline loved to travel. She and her husband had many adventures, traveling in the western USA, to Florida, Hawaii, and on cruise ships. Later in life she often went on trips to the Smoky Mountains with her children, where she loved looking for bears and wildlife. She was such fun on those trips. She even rode the Alpine roller coaster in Pigeon Forge when she was 89 years young. Pauline also loved her puzzle books, watching Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. She also liked watching John Hagee and enjoyed sitting on her back porch swing. She loved family get togethers and church dinners where she would prepare her famous hot rolls and deviled eggs.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Ed Watson; parents: Pete and Anna Maye Tudor; sisters: Theda, Christine, Maxine and Marie; and mother-in-law: Sarah Jane Watson with whom she was very close. Pauline is survived by daughter: Carolyn (Henry) Noe; son: Mark (Susan) Watson; grandchildren: Wendy Pauline (Steve) Mitchell, Anita (Rick) Matejka; special niece: Bev Ganka; great grandchildren: Angelina and Solomon Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for the excellent care, her family doctor, Dr Annadorai Kalahasthy, MD and his staff for the excellent care, love, and candy over the years. Special thanks to Megan Miller for the in-home health care. Mom loved you, and you made her last days happier. We love you too. Thank you to those who helped us with Mom at the end, staying the night and making sure Mom had 24 hours around the clock loving care, Bev Ganka, Terra Sweaney, Wendy Mitchell, and Payton Sweaney who could make mom smile when we thought her smiles were all gone. We love you all dearly, We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and words of encouragement. Most of all we want to thank our Heavenly Father for all good things come from You. Thank you, Jesus, for preparing a home for our Mom.
