Pauline Hayes, 91, of Dayton, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was born May 19, 1923 in Duane, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Sally (Crawford) Gaylor.
Pauline retired from GM after 28 years of service. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star; Past Worthy Matron of the Ohio Eastern Star Belmont Chapter 555; Past Grand Representative to Australia and a Past Queen Daughters of the Nile, Azizah Temple # 57.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter, Marlene Robinson; grandson, Scott Milburn. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Karen Ross Phelps "Kay"; two granddaughters, Lisa K. Defibaugh, Andrea Phelps; one grandson, Christopher Phelps; four great grandchildren, Brittany Defibaugh, Tyler Defibaugh, Danielle Phelps and Dianah (Milburn) Barrett; five great great grandchildren, Trevor, Brittney, Zachary, Jaden, Maria; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Friday, May 30, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton where an Eastern Star Memorial Service will begin at 10:30 AM Friday. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
