Paula Jean "PJ" Williams (nee Williams)
Age 53, of Fairborn. I was born December 29, 1953 to Paul Edward (Deceased) and Mary Louise (nee Webb) Williams at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. I left this weak earthly body to be with my Lord and Savior on September 16, 2007 after my tough 2 year and 6 month battle with a brain tumor/cancer. I didn't want to leave this soon, but please know that I am OK, I was ready to go home and I'm with my wonderful Daddy, whom I have missed so very much, and my special Father-In-Love, Homer Williams. We are waiting for you, but please take your time. To my best friend and wonderful faithful, loving and caring husband of 33 years, Rev. Myron Williams of Fairborn, our vows said through sickness and health and you took care of me, thank you, I love you. To "The Best Son anyone could ever have" my only child, Christian Ryan and his beautiful wife, my Daughter-In-Love, Julie (Nee Mullins) Williams of New Carlisle, keep the faith, have a wonderful long life together, be good to each other, and BE HAPPY. To my very special wonderful grandson, Braeden Ryan Williams "Remember Grammy loves you and will always be with you." I do wish I could have stayed just a little while longer to see my new grandson Carson, but he will know that I love him by stories and memories you will all share with him. Carson, "Grammy will always be watching over you." I also leave behind my mother, Mary Williams of Huber Heights and my Mother-in-Love Mary Juanita "Nita" "Nanny" Williams (nee Smith) of Fairborn. Aunt "Malt" Helen Malta Williams of Paintsville, Kentucky, you were my wonderful very special surrogate mother. You may not have any birth children, but you raised three children who think the world of you and who are your children. You raised and nurtured me and I thank you so much for the honor of allowing me to be a part of your life and for helping me to become the good person, woman, wife, mother, aunt, friend, and Grammy that I tried to be. I hope that I was a good big sister to my siblings Yvonne (nee Williams) husband Dave Thacker of Fairborn, and Paul "Buddy" wife Kathy (nee Johns) Williams of New Carlisle, OH, please try to forget how I used to beat Buddy up when we were youngins', and thanks, Von for helping to take care of me. To my surrogate brother, Richard "Richie" wife Jennifer Bayless and family of Selma, North Carolina, I'm so glad that God brought you into my life. Thank you to my special Sister-in-Love, Vicky Hussong (nee Williams) and her son Wyatt of Fairborn for sharing your home with me and Myron and thanks for taking your Family Leave to care for me in my last days here on this earth (those were definitely the roughest physically and emotionally). You are truly an Angel on earth and a gift from God; it is such comfort to me knowing that Myron has a loving home and family to support him now. To my Sister-in-Love, Viola Hinley "Vi" (Williams) of Dayton, thanks for all your love, support, prayers, and care, you were there for me in my last days, almost every day and I appreciate that. Thanks to my Brothers's-in-Love, Homer wife Sue Williams of Texas, Marvin wife Cheri Williams and Melvin Williams of Tennessee for being a part of my life. I also leave behind my special nephew Bryan wife Amanda (nee Fyffe) Thacker (children, Tristen and Kaley); special nephew, David M. Thacker of Fairborn; and special niece Amanda (nee Thacker) husband Aaron "Red" Thomas of Dayton. Bryan, Amanda, and David, you almost feel like my own children. Please know that you are all very special and it was my privilege to take care of you and to share your lives, I love you so very much. Niece Ashley of Tipp City, nephew Jared and niece Erica Williams of New Carlisle, I love you guys, always remember that I am with you in spirit and God is watching over you. I hope that I was a positive influence in the lives of all my nieces and nephews, too many to name, but please know that I love you all. I also leave behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, WAY to many to list, but know that I love you, I love you, I love you. Special thanks to my Church Family at Vandalia Nazarene Church for the food, prayers, support, transportation to appointments and guidance through this entire ordeal, it was tough for me, but you made it a little more bearable. To my friends at Wrightview Church of the Nazarene, Fairborn, thanks for the visits, prayers and support. As a teen (late 60's early 70's) I was an active member of the youth group at Wrightview Church of the Nazarene and a member of the IMPAC Team singing group. We had so much fun as we traveled to area churches in Ohio and Indiana to minister in music and spread the word of the Lord. I graduated from Fairborn Park Hills High School in 1972. In 1978 Myron, Christian, and I moved to Colorado Springs so that Myron could pursue his calling into the ministry and we both attended the Nazarene Bible College where I received a Layman Certificate in Music Ministry in 1982. I was a homemaker, stay at home mom, and childcare provider until I started working at Elder-Beerman in Fairborn in 1991. I also worked at Elder Beerman's/Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek and in Huber Heights until this stupid tumor forced me to medically retire in 2005. Myron (that man I've been married to all these years) was the pastor at Pleasant Valley Church of the Nazarene in Dayton from 1984 through 1999 and I was honored to be the Pastor's Wife, and it truly was an honor. I loved that church family and you were a true treasure in my life. When you remember me, please don't remember the last 2 1/2 years of my life. Remember me as being a strong spiritual person. Maybe I helped you through a difficult trial because I tried to be a pillar of spiritual strength and faith for you to lean on. I hope that I helped you to see, and to know, that everything is in God's hands and that all situations in our lives will turn out exactly as God has planned them to be, not necessarily how we may want them to be. Remember me singing in church and I hope that people were blessed. When you hear the Oldies on the radio remember how I loved them and our trips to Xenia Nazarene Christian School. Remember family get togethers and reunions and the wonderful FOOD and times that were shared. Remember fighting for me to be on your Trivial Pursuit Team because I was so good at it. Remember trips to Myrtle Beach and how I loved to watch the ocean, and listen to the waves. I loved watching Christian and especially watching Braeden play on the beach in the sun and the sand. Good, happy, fun memories, that's what I want you to remember. My greatest wish though, is to be with all my family and friends in heaven. If you don't know how to get here, ask someone who does. Please get right with the Lord so we will all be together again, eternally. I Love You, Always. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Wrightview Church of the Nazarene, 1612 Superior Dr., Fairborn, Ohio, with Pastor Ralph Rolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 12 PM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Samaritan North Cancer Center, Englewood, OH. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (North Chapel).
