Paul Vaughn

Vaughn, Paul Lee, age 79, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Paul was born May 17, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the son of the late James F. Vaughn and Minnie L. (Hoover) Vaughn. Paul was a retired, self-employed Gulf service station operator in the Kettering area, and he was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1946-1950.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Katherina Vaughn; daughter; Carolyn Barry; brothers: Louis Vaughn, Robert Vaughn, Billy Vaughn; and sisters: Margaret Jo Grundner, Lorrene Akemon, and Delores Wheeler. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: James P. (Connie) Vaughn of Kettering; three grandchildren: Sarrah Vaughn, Rachel Vaughn, Adam Vaughn; sisters: Helen (Bob) Austin, Betty (Chuck) McRorie, Jeannie (Bob) Gillespie all of Michigan; brothers: Jimmy (Sandy) Vaughn of Dayton, Ronnie (Paula) Vaughn of Dayton, Jerry (Ann) Vaughn of Englewood, Gary (Barbara) Vaughn of AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M.
