Paul Rex "Smitty", "Silver Fox" Smith, age 89, of Dayton, passed away at home under hospice care on April 1, 2025. Paul was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 10, 1936 to the late James and Ethel Smith.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Smith; and 12 siblings.
He is survived by wife of 44 years, Sheena Smith; son, Rick (Marie) Smith; grandchildren, Valerie, Andrew, Abby, Tierney, Kayla and Morgan; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was an United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. Paul retired from Chrysler, then owned his own construction business.
He was a member of The Church at Eastmont in Riverside for many years. Paul was also a Free Mason.
In his free time, he enjoyed rooting for the Buckeyes and the Browns, playing UNO and spending time working in the yard. Paul liked to watch Jeopardy, The Price is Right and John Wayne movies.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to be with his family.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at 3:00pm, at The Church at Eastmont, 1380 Spaulding Rd., Riverside.
