Paul Alton Scott

July 31, 1944 — February 19, 2024

Paul Alton Scott passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19th. Born in Penn Yan, NY on July 31, 1944, to the late Alton & Alice Scott.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Joan (Heffernan) Scott. He is also survived by his two children, Michele (Rob) Wright and Cindy Leopold, five grandchildren, Megan Leopold, Heather (Courtney) England, Erika (Dylan) Reutter, Andrew & Alyson Wright and seven great-grandchildren, Kasey, Christina, Eric, Lizzy, Mikey, Jordan & Saylor as well as special family friends Janie Montague and Mike Leopold. He had one brother who preceded him in death Ronnie Scott and is survived by his sister Doris Spiegel.

Paul served in the Air Force from 1965-1986. Retiring as a MSGT after 21 years of service. During his service, he and his family lived and traveled throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe. After retiring Paul enjoyed spending time fishing, woodworking, and gardening commonly sharing the surplus produce with neighbors and the homeless shelter. He was a member of the American Legion.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the VA, Dayton & Affinity Hospice workers as well as Danbury Huber Heights for their wonderful care.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 5th @ 1pm at the Dayton National Cemetery.
