Paul R. Ring

Paul R. Ring, age 79, of Centerville, passed away after an extended illness on February 16, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton. Paul was born on October 17, 1943, in Dayton, OH to the late Paul and Esculene (Turnipseed) Ring. He attended Wilbur Wright High School and extended his education by earning an associate degree from the University of Dayton. On September 19, 1998, at the Sugar Valley Country Club in Bellbrook, OH, Paul married Pam J. Hanson.

Paul worked for Mead Data Central/LexisNexis for over 20 years serving in a number of capacities before retiring in 1994. Held key positions as IT Applications Software Developer, Manager and Director of Product Development. During his career, Paul was instrumental in the development of the Edgar Application Program that was designed to assist the legal profession and the government in gathering intelligence. As a result, he was asked many times to present during senate hearings.

After his retirement from LexisNexis, Paul wanted to remain busy and engaged with his community. As a result, he became a licensed realtor and joined Inverness Homes assisting with the sale of property in planned developments. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling with Pam to their favorite Florida island, Siesta Key and took their annual sojourn to their honeymoon destination of Gatlinburg, TN. However, the greatest joy for Paul was being with his family, especially being a grandfather to his 4 grandchildren and father to his blended family.

Paul leaves behind a family legacy consisting of his loving wife of 25 years, Pam; sons, Richard Ring of Harrison Township, OH, Matthew Kinser of Centerville and Nick (Anna) Kinser of West Carrollton, OH; daughters, Rebecca Ring of Mount Vernon, OH, Cindy Ring of Mount Vernon, OH, Lori (Randy) Paulin of Miamisburg and Chrissy (Doug) Cerny of Centerville; grandsons, Logan Ritter of Miamisburg, Cole Paulin and Carter Cerny; granddaughter, Jillian Cerny; and additional family members and close friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio.

Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A burial will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions in Paul's name to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton OH 45420.
