Paul "Red" J. Brest, was born September 11, 1932. He passed away peacefully and gained his heavenly reward on December 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth (Hendricks) Brest; brothers, George and Dick Brest; sister, Judy Brodnick; nephew, Jason Seaman; great granddaughter, Sarah Wilder; daughter in law, Theresa Brest; and his loving wife, Joan.
Paul is survived by his son, Dennis Brest; granddaughters, Michele (Steve) Wilder and Aimee (Clay) Sparks; sister, Patty (Chris) Armentrout; 12 great grand kids; 6 great great grand kids; nieces, nephews and many other family members.
He retired from Duriron as a Machinist. He was an avid fisherman. He loved being in the sun and gardening. Paul enjoyed wood working and riding in his grandson's truck. He collected fedora hats, bow ties and solar bobble heads.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00am with Steve Wilder officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
