LUBBERT, Paul E., age 82, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord, Thurs., April 22, 2004. He was born Aug. 20, 1921, in New Rochelle, NY and grew up in Greenwich, CT. He graduated from Greenwich High School and from Bob Jones Univ., attending from 1946-1951. Paul went on to graduate school at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago. He met his dear wife, Lillian, at Moody Church. He was a resident of Dayton for 38 years. Paul had known Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior for 68 years. He was pastor of Colorado Ave. Baptist Church from 1966-1971 and the owner/operator of Olympia Health Foods from 1970-1993. In addition to his wife, Lillian, Paul is survived by 2 daughters, Susan Dixon (Danny) and Linda VanderMeulen (Doug); 2 brothers, John and David; 1 sister, Gladys; and 2 grandchildren, Michael and Megan VanderMeulen. Funeral services 1 P.M., Tues., April 27, 2004, at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Pastor Doug VanderMeulen officiating. Interment David Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 P.M.
