Paul Dean Lentz, age 91 of Centerville, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born January 20, 1932 in Madison Township, Ohio the son of the late Everett and Margaret Lentz. Paul graduated from Trotwood Madison High School. He worked a combined of over 60 years for Ford & BG Products. He was also a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and was very active in his church community. Paul was a member of the Lions Club and the Centerville Noon Optimists. Paul had a lifelong love of House Boating and Waterskiing since he was first introduced to it on his honeymoon. He and his family enjoyed boating the waters of Rocky Fort Lake, Dalehollow Lake, Laurel Lake, and Brookville Lake. Being a social person Paul made a large community of friends from all walks of life at both the lake and at home. He appreciated the beauty of the sunrise and sunset and would never miss an opportunity to photograph one. Paul was a caring and giving person and was always there for his friends and family to show support. He truly sacrificed for his friends and family. Paul had a warm sense of humor and was a real jokester. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene Lentz and Edwin Lentz and Great-Grandson Landon Everett Otto.
Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years, Linda Lentz; son, David (Debbie) Lentz; daughter, Lisa Kay Heaton; granddaughters, Victoria Amber Lentz, Jennifer Nicole Otto; grandson, Christopher Douglas Heaton; 8 great-grandchildren; and by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Donations may be made to American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, or Hospice of Dayton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at Southminster Presbyterian Church (7001 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45459). Burial will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
