Paul Kurt Voderberg, 65, of Newark, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 8, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on April 1, 1949 in Chicago, IL to the late Kurt and Louise (Collier) Voderberg.
Paul was a 1967 graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL and a 1971 graduate of Denison University in Granville, OH with a B. A. in Economics.
He faithfully served his country, his family, his church and his Lord Jesus.
He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and retired as a Major working as a Navigator and an Electronic Warfare Officer. Paul had a private pilot's license.
Paul also retired from Dynamic Machinery Sales where he was the Vice President of Sales.
He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and a member of the Rocky Fork Church of Christ in Newark, OH, the American Commons Club and Delta Chi Fraternity.
Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was known for his love for John Wayne.
Paul is survived by his loving Wife of 42 years, Caroline (Johnson) Voderberg; Children, David Paul (TerAnn) Voderberg, Peter Daniel (Miriam) Voderberg; Grandchildren, Brandon Zachary Voderberg and Annaliese Joy Voderberg; Brother, John Collier Voderberg; Sisters, Mary Beth Voderberg, Jill Voderberg-Lasher; Brother-in-law, Tim Lasher.
He will be sorely missed but we know that his reward in Heaven is great, and we will see him again.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd., Huber Heights, Ohio, with Pastor Dan Held, officiating, with Military Honors.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Dayton.
