Paul Dyess

July 27, 1974 — November 27, 2021

Paul "David" Dyess, age 47, of Tipp City, passed away peacefully after battling cancer Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was born in Tyler, Texas, on July 27, 1974, to the late Paul Wayne Dyess and is survived by his mother, Mary Dyess.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Denise Dyess; his sons, Austin Dyess and Aiden Dyess; his sisters, Stephanie (Larry) Moore and Paula Bessonett; his brothers, Jerry (Michelle) Dyess and Wayne (Patty) Dyess; his uncle, Bill Vickery and aunt, Betty Vickery; his cousin and best friend, Jason Vickery; and many relatives and friends.

David was a devoted husband and father. His boys were his whole world. He loved spending time with them whether it was watching them at every ball game or fishing and wading the river. The boys always enjoyed what they liked to call "Life Lectures with Dad".

He loved his home state of Texas where he always had to get a Whataburger. Even though he lived in the Buckeyes' state David was committed to his Texas Longhorns. If you knew David you knew how much he loved sports and anything outdoors. He spent a lot of time with his cousin, Jason, on his boat fishing and talking especially during the last 8 months.

David was a minister of the gospel for 24 years. Most of that time was spent pastoring in Texas and Ohio. He had a huge heart for missions. One of the highlights of his life was getting to go to Swaziland. In the last 2 years, he became a chaplain for EverHeart Hospice where he ministered to families during some of their darkest days.

A special thank you to . . .

David's mother Mary for spending the last 8 weeks by his side helping in any way she could.

Bill & Betty Vickery for the love and guidance they showed him during a time when he needed it most.

The EverHeart Hospice Team for the many thoughtful gifts and constant support.
