Paul E. Daugherty Sr.

Paul E. Daugherty Sr., age 76 of Kettering, left this Earth on October 28, 2021 to be reunited with his beloved wife of 56 years, Theresa Daugherty. Paul was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Bruce and Leona Daugherty.

Paul served his country during the Vietnam War for three years. He was a highly decorated soldier, honored with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also served his community as a football and baseball coach in Huber Heights. He enjoyed vintage cars and would show his '49 Ford at various car shows. He was most proud of the work he did as a welder throughout his career. Wherever he was and whatever he did, he was a dedicated and hard worker.

In addition to his wife and his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Morgan, and his loving companion, his dog Carmen.

Paul's memory will be cherished by his loving children: Paul (Kimberly) Daugherty II, Kelly (Patti) Daugherty, and Tricia (Chad) Cline; grandchildren: Kellen, Kaelyn, Chelsea, Heather, Madison, Mackenzie, Mya, Brandon, Quin, Cody, and Jessica; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton. Paul will be laid to rest next to his wife at 10:00am on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Bearcreek Cemetery.
