Paul D. Gray
Age 40, of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly at home in his sleep on Friday, October 7, 2011.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gabriel and Isabelle Quadros of Mission Viejo, CA; Robert D. and Rita Gray of Anaheim, CA.
Paul is survived by his parents, Robert and Isabel (Betty) Gray of Riverside, Ohio; brothers, Robert (Rob) Gray and Thomas Gray; nephews, Chris Gray, Cameron Gray and Dylan Gray; aunt and Godmother, Susan Quadros (Victor Riley) of Mission Viejo, CA; aunt, Sheila Kusters (Jack) of Cupertino, CA; uncles, Paul Quadros of San Mateo, CA, John Gray of Ann Arbor, MI, Thomas Gray (Pat) of Anaheim, CA; devoted friend, Barbara Davis of Riverside and many other friends and neighbors. Paul was born in Rome, NY, lived in Bedford, MA and Riverside, OH.
He graduated from Fairborn High School, attended Sinclair Community College and The Ohio State University graduating in 1995 with a degree in Political Science. He moved to New York City, NY and worked for First Manhattan Consulting and Novantas, Inc. on Park Avenue for many years. While there he witnessed the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 from a rooftop a half mile away. He returned to the Dayton recently.
He had such a love for Italian (it was his dream to go to Italy), cars (especially VW's), music and food. He always had a smile on his face and was always curious about life and people. He was a member of the Southwestern VW Club and TDI Club.
Private services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to your local animal shelter in memory of Paul.
