Paul Browner, age 90 of Dayton, formerly of Piqua, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 14, 1928 in Thomasville, North Carolina to the late John and Bertha Browner.
Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Val Decker Packing Company as a butcher for over 30 years, was an embalmer for years, and was a Deacon at the church for over 40 years.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was loved by many.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; granddaughter, Natalie Edwards; and siblings, Samuel, John, Bertha, Alter, Imogene, Annie Ruth and Inez.
Paul will be missed by his loving children, Gerry (Louise) Browner of Greenbelt, Maryland, Jacqueline (Sherwin) Mack of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Duncan Browner of Dayton, Ohio, Tamara Browner of Piqua, Ohio and Lori Browner-Heath of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren, Katy Browner, Angela Browner, Missy Browner, Judy Browner, Gerry Jr. "Cowboy" Browner, Ashley Browner, Nathaniel Edwards, Camille Edwards, James Browner, Mason Browner, Joshwa (Lindse) Browner, Jordan "Bubba" Browner, Brandon Browner; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at the Greater Galilee Baptist Church, 1001 Beatrice Dr., Riverside, Ohio. Pastor Eric A. Burns, Overseer, officiating. Burial will be held at 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 8 at the Dayton National Cemetery, 440 W. 3rd. St., Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Hospice of Dayton.
