Patrick Wayne Prewitt

Patrick Wayne Prewitt, age 44 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020. He was born March 17, 1976 in Merced, California.

Patrick was a fantastic father and an amazing, wonderful husband who shared his love and appreciation for his wife every day. He was a wonderful uncle and was devoted to his late niece, Marina. He also cherished his relationship with his mother and father-in-law. He was a protector of his family and always made them feel safe.

He was a talented chef, had a passion for cooking, and was intelligent with a vast knowledge of history. He collected music, movies, comics and games. He was a passionate, avid gamer. Patrick will be remembered for being a wonderful, loyal friend, his great sense of humor, and his dimples.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kay Schallenberger-Bortz and niece, Marina Carpenter; and grandparents, Beryll Valentine Schallenberger and Darlys Daphine Tiedt-Schallenberger.

Patrick will be missed by his loving wife of 14 years (together 21 years), Mrs. Lisa M. Prewitt; son, Vincent Patrick Prewitt; father and mother-in-law, Philip and Carolyn Carpenter; sister-in-law, Stephanie G. Carpenter-Carroll; half-brother, Keith (Sara) Bortz; aunt, Kathy Schallenberger-Lloyd-Wesolowski; uncles, Steve Schallenberger and Jaime; and cousins Christina Humble, Sarah Jones and Adam Schallenberger; Inlaws: grandma, Nellie (Looper) Blair; aunt Lowana G. Looper (Ted Swartz); aunt, Judy (Vernon) Coffey; cousins, Candice (Marcus) Valovalo, Tyler James Lummis; as well as many friends and acquaintances all over the world and his cat, Dr. Pepper.

Family will receive friends Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
