Patrick Jay Covill, age 65 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was born December 13, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late George and Leola Covill.
Pat served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a self-taught drummer and loved to listen to rock-n-roll music. He was a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan as well as an Ohio State fan. Pat was very strong-willed and determined and was an all-around good guy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Covill; sister, Sandra Meng.
Pat will be missed by his brothers, Ricky (Ellen) VanNatten and James Lee Hostetter; niece, Jennifer Lehart (Greg Schoening); nephews, Kenton (Rachel) VanNatten and Jason VanNatten; good friend Greg Matherson; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
