Patricia I. Smith

Patricia I. Smith, age 82 of Huber Heights, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her residence. She was born January 30, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to Arthur and Margaret (Puckett) Zwiesler. Patricia married James R. Smith, Sr. on April 27, 1957 in Dayton, OH.

Pat worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 40 years, retiring in 2012. She loved bowling, crocheting for loved ones, traveling with her friends and making memories to last a lifetime. Pat especially loved her dogs, Kid and Lilly, which kept her on her toes and kept her smiling. She could be found helping others in many different ways, and was always there when you needed her. Pat stayed connected with friends and coworkers over the years, frequently bowling and meeting for lunch with them. She was feisty and was not one to mince any words. Pat loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Brad) Czupryn and Debbie Porter; five grandchildren, Joseph and Michael Czupryn, Joshua and Jessica Porter and Emily O'Hearn; a great grandchild, Hazel Jackson; loving companion, Larry Crum; sisters, Mary Jane (Richard) Stidham and Marlene (Richard) Kohlbacher; a brother, Robert (Bonnie) Schwartz; a half sister, Cathy Roseberry; a half brother Michael Zwiesler; and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Zwiesler and Margaret Schwartz; her husband James R. Smith, Sr., and her son, James R. Smith, Jr..

A Walk Through Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. Burial to follow the visitation at Bellbrook Cemetery, Bellbrook, OH.
