Patricia R. Mapp

Patricia Ruth Mapp, age 74 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born February 6, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alvadore and Dorothy Barkalow.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, John Mapp, grandson, Anthony Coffman, and siblings, Robert Barkalow and Kathleen Bozarth.

Patricia is survived by her significant other, Barry A. Jackson children, Dorothy A. Coffman, John E. (Robyn) Laird II and Amy R. (Timothy) Williams; grandchildren, Daniel R. Coffman, Alan M. Gross, Taylor N. Williams, Autumn K. Laird and Austin K. Laird; great grandchildren, Gavin and Bradley; siblings, Alvadore Barkalow Jr. and Daisy Pelfrey as well as other extended family and friends.

Patricia attended Miamisburg High School and began a career in food service as a waitress for Biltmore downtown Dayton, Elder Beerman, The Barnsider and Golden Corral, retiring after 55 years. Patricia also was dedicated to her family as a mother and loving grandmother. She also enjoyed trips to Dale Hollow, TN and her favorite television shows.

Family will receive guests from 10:00 am-12:00 pm Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home - KETTERING. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 pm also at the funeral home and conclude with a procession to Shiloh Park Cemetery, Dayton for burial.
