Patricia (Pat) F. Jankay, gained her heavenly wings at the age of 89, in her home (Fairborn, OH) surrounded by her loved ones by her side on 26 July 2022 at 12:00:01 am. Patricia was brought into this world on 17 June 1933 in Montesano, Washington. Her parents were the late Clifford and Esther (Hall) Kelly.
Patricia married Stephen (Steve) J. Jankay - June of 1955 in Indiana. Both are survived by their children of four, Marjorie (Steve) Yarosz, Steven Kelly, Virginia "Diana" Jankay Glassburn and Theresa (Chris) Rice.
Patricia was an Air Force wife. Her first and foremost priority was her family! During her travels in the military she enjoyed gardening, planting and growing flowers, ceramics, crafting, painting, garage sales, thrift stores, auctions and estate sales. In her later years she enjoyed watching and feeding birds, squirrels and stray cats.
Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Ashworth (2022), her son in law Harlan R. Glassburn (2022), her sister Jean Breneman (2020), her husband Stephen J. Jankay (2019), her 2nd mom Margaret Kelly, her granddaughter Patricia Mae Glassburn (2006), Gary Patrick Glassburn (2007), her granddaughters Sandy Ann & Candy Lee Glassburn (1984) and her brother Howard Kelly (1962).
Patricia is also survived by her sister Lorraine (Ed) Jenkins; her grandchildren Russell (Chris) Glassburn, Rose Rice, Patrick (Elyse) Glassburn, Angela (Jason) Henry Gassburn, Monica (Daniel) Hicks, Diana Dawn (Daniel) Williams, Holly Rice, Juanita Glassburn, Stephanie (Carl) Ruggles, Joy Warbington, Brady (Tabitha) Carter and Anthony Warbington. She also leave behind an abundance of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd) on Tuesday August 2 nd at 6pm until 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held the following day to 11:00 am at St. Helen Parish (605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431). Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband Steve at Dayton National Cemetery following her cremation.
