ESHBAUGH, Patricia Louise, 74, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. She was born November 20, 1942 in Bedford, OH, the beloved daughter of David C. and Shirley E. Boam.
Pat retired after 30 years of teaching from Huber Heights City Schools; was President of HHEA, fighting hard for all Huber Heights teachers and was involved with On Task to better our teacher/student/community relations. She helped develop curriculum for Kids Voting so that students all across Dayton would realize that they have a right to vote and the importance of voting.
Member of DKG Society International, Beta Psi Chapter, Society of Key Women Educators; member of Alpha Delta State, life time member of OEA and NEA, Miami Valley Retried Teachers, Montgomery County Retired Teachers, League of Women Voters. She held many President and Chairman positions of these organizations. She was a volunteer at Artemis Center and avid volunteer for the Montgomery County Democratic Party.
Pat is survived by John, her loving husband of 55 years, and her two children, Elaine Eshbaugh and Mark Eshbaugh, both of Dayton. Other survivors include her brother, David J. Boam and his wife, Melissa and their children, Connor and Josie of Louisville; nephew, Tim and wife, Melissa and their children Taylor and Bailey of Memphis; niece, Tina Boam and daughter, Lilly of Nashville; nephew, Todd Boam of Cincinnati, OH; aunt and uncle, Jack and Jane Heller of Grandville; second cousin, Donna Lamb of Bay Village, OH; and her aunt, Doris Wentworth of New Hampshire; sister-in-law, Nancy Robbins; niece, Mary Saaphoss and her daughter, Crissy; grand-nephew, Roger (Stephany) Masters; nieces, Angie (Darryl) Davis and their son, Eric (Erin); Toni Marinelli and daughter, Cassie Bussert.
Pat will be missed by her best friend, Joan Bostelman of Huber Heights and Pat and Ken McElroy of Sidney, former teachers of Shenandoah Elementary, and members of her bridge club. Pat was an unselfish and tireless volunteer and helped any who needed her. She spoke for the good of ALL and had a beautiful heart.

Visitation will begin at 2pm followed by memorial service at 3pm on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439.
