Patricia C. Bork

Bork, Patricia C. "Pat" passed away on December 9, 2020, after a lengthy illness. She was born September 23, 1934 in Clarksburg, WV, to Matthew and Alice Cottrill, and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA.

After moving to Beavercreek, OH, in January 1974, she read an article on a local group, and in her career as a professional writer, was intrigued by Bernie's Clowns (an organization dedicated to bringing smiles to sick children's faces). After meeting them and going on an outing to get a better feel for her story, she ended up a longtime member/officer of the club as Tricia The Clown. After that, while doing research for another story, she went to the local police department. She stumbled into the very first class of the Beavercreek COPP (Citizens on Preventive Patrol) program. She was a member/officer of THAT organization for many years as well.

Pat was preceded in death by husband of 41 years, Ed, and her brother, Phil. She is survived by her daughter, Liz Davis, of Huber Heights, OH, son Erik (Margaret) of Westlake Village, CA; grandchildren, Debra Snyder, Daniel, Jonathan and Rachel Bork, and Quest Couture. She is also survived by many cousins, niece, and nephews, and devoted friends, Dr. Peter and Mrs. Bev Maybeck.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 with graveside service immediately following at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
