Patricia Bittner

Patricia Bittner of Yellow Springs, Ohio passed away on December 18, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born to the late Victor and Nola Anderson on September 14, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio. Patty worked at Vernay Labs, NCR Corp., Yellow Springs Clinic, FELS Research and retired from Wright State University in 1993. She enjoyed baking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Patty is a lifelong member of the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church. She leaves behind her brother Richard Anderson of Granville, Ohio; sister Linda Shook of Yellow Springs, Ohio; daughters Pam (Ron) Simington, Betsy (Mike) Gannon; 4 grandchildren Cari Lairson, Cami Waller, Taylor and Haley Gannon; 5 great grandchildren Paeton, Kinady, and Cameron Waller, Nola and Reece Lairson and many special nieces and nephews; Good friends Patty McAllister and Jean Linkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son Michael Grinnell; sister-in-law Jody Anderson; brother-in-law Buddy Shook. Our family would like to thank the staff of The Friends Care Community and Hospice of Dayton for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420. A memorial service will be held at the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church 202 South Winter Street, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387 on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00am.
