Pamela Elizabeth Schmidt

Pamela Elizabeth Schmidt, age 88 of New Carlisle, passed away on March 10, 2019 from a short illness. She was born in Suffolk, England on January 18, 1931, and moved to the United States with her husband in the late 1950's. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Hannah Scopes; husband, Robert Schmidt, Sr.; daughter, Joann Schmidt Plummer; and grandson-in-law, Chuck Smith.

Pamela is survived by her three children: Robert Schmidt, Jr. (Barbara Brown), Sandra McKelvy (Robert) and Cynthia Schmidt (Ronald Huffman); sister, Rita Denny (Chris); 6 grandchildren: Peggy Jenkins, Holly Stiltner, Christy Smith, Dustin Schmidt, Sr. (Bethany), Pamela McKelvy and Amanda Stahl; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pamela was a dedicated bingo player; loved knitting, going to garage sales and taking car rides. She will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm.
