Age 94, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Miami Valley Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Hence Scantland, in 1975 and by their two infant children.
Ova is survived by nine children, Lois (Mayford) Lee, Merlene Brown, Maidy (L.C.) Moody, Harold (Dee) Scantland, Carolyn (Scott) Taulbee, Wanda Wilson, Ann (Jim) Wilson, Brenda (Bruce) Auberson & Randy (Janet) Scantland; one brother, Marcus Coffee; one sister, Jewel Brown; and by numerous grand, great grand & great great grandchildren. Ova is also survived by her special friends & neighbors, Jewel & Orville Grubb.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 p.m., until time of service.
