Ova "Benny" J. Sparks

Ova J. "Benny" Sparks, age 77 of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024. He was born December 16, 1946 in Lee County, Kentucky the son of Russell and Ila Sparks.

Benny was a member of Spaulding Road Church of God. He loved eating Elsie's cooking and fishing any chance he got. He was devoted to taking care of his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Elsie; father, Russell Sparks mother, Ila Sparks; daughter, Jill Posey and many siblings.

Benny is survived by his son, Benjamin (Courtney) Sparks; two daughters, Kim (Roger) Stacy and Sherry Morgan; son-in-law, Mike Posey; grandchildren, Hunter Sparks, Halee Sparks, Colton Sparks, Elise Sparks, Kristi Reed, Amanda Allen, Kimberly Cook, Jennifer Coleman, Nicole Marietta, Brandon Posey, Blaine Morgan and Cody Morgan; great grandchildren, Tre' Reed, Alyssa Reed, Brooke Allen, Cole Allen, Brycen Marietta, Baylee Marietta, Mackenzie Morgan, Kayleigh Morgan, Isaac Morgan, Kaden Michaels, Avie Morgan and Nova Morgan; bother Bobby (Sally) Sparks and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service at 12:00 pm at Spaulding Road Church Of God (1658 Spaulding Road, Dayton, Ohio 45432). Benny will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio following the service.
