Otis C. Brooks, age 75, of Muskegon, Mi., passed away Monday, December 5, 2011.
Otis was born January 11, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa to the late David & Rose Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Ruth Brooks; children, Sherry and Kevin Brooks, both of MI.; brother, James Brooks, of Mi.; and sister, Mildred Brooks, of MI.
Otis is survived by his children, Charlotte (Jeffrey) Haskins, of Little Rock, AR., Kenneth Brooks, of Shreveport, LA., Otis (Susan) Brooks Jr., of Muskegon, MI., Anita (Lloyd) Moore, of Dayton, OH., Keith Brooks, of Muskegon, MI., and Oneisha Langston, of Muskegon, MI.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene Brooks, CO. and David (Clesetel) Brooks, of Grand Rapids, MI.; sisters, Fern Keys, of Grand Rapids, MI. and Alice Mae Atkinson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Otis's passion was boxing and fishing, but he worked most of his life as a tool and die maker to support his family.
He will be missed by many.
