Peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at age 74. He is predeceased by his wife, Sarah; and his parents. Survived by children, Marilyn (Frankie) Cox, Dennis (Cindi) Tharp; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie), Chad (Mellissa), Denny, Amanda Tharp and Christopher (Angie) Cox; 14 brothers and sisters; along with several nephews and nieces, and 7 great-grand children, Special Care-giver Cindi Tharp, and Life-long friends Phyllis Tharp and Mike Ogden, Jimmy T., and many friends. Oscar was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War Conflict and a retiree of General Motors after 42.2 years of service.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home North, 4104 Needmore Road, where Services will immediately follow at 10:30. Burial to take place immediately after service at Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton.
