Oscar Hargis (Junior), 82, a resident of Miamisburg, Ohio and Somerset, Kentucky, passed away February 8, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 29, 1935 in Somerset, Kentucky to Oscar and Eva Hargis.
He was the beloved husband of Jackie (Mason) Hargis, whom he married August 31, 1957; loving father of Pam Ruwe of Miamisburg, Ohio; adored grandfather of Lydia Ruwe; devoted son of the late Oscar and Eva Hargis; dear brother of Carl, Myrtle, Margie, Geneva, RV and Ronnie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Oscar was a US Army Veteran, serving in Korea from 1958-1959. He worked for General Motors for 47 years and retired in 1999.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Newcomer, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where funeral service will follow at 11:00am, with Pastor Cory Albaugh officiating. Graveside service with Military Honors at Hillgrove Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery Co. Humane Society in Oscar's memory.
