Orville Leo Morgan, Sr., age 74 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 18, 1938 in Dayton to the late Fred and Myrtle Morgan. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his sister, Birdie Brewer; brothers: Ralph and Fred Morgan; and ex-wife, Mary Morgan.

Leo is survived by his wife, Phyllis Morgan; sons and daughters-in-law: Buddy and Cindy Morgan & Lee and Cheryl Morgan; step-son, Jimmy Bray; grandchildren: Ira (Amy) Morgan, Jr., Heather (Ryan) Doseck, Charlie (Kylea) Kimmerly, Nina (David) Vuong and Josh (Ashley) Morgan; great grandchildren: Taylor, Ira III, Alexis, Ryan Jr., Jadah, Curtis, Xavier, Mickenzie, Mazie; step grandchildren: Johnna & Jordan Bray; siblings: Mary, Willie, Nancy, Jimmy and Lou; and numerous other family members and friends.

Mr. Morgan was a successful self-made businessman, beginning as an employee of a local moving and storage company from whom he purchased a truck in the mid '60's and began his own business. That company, Howard Van Lines, and later Greater Dayton Moving and Storage grew, under his leadership to have subsidiaries in Cincinnati and Columbus and an affiliation of over 30 years with a national van lines.

Mr. Morgan was a member of the Way of the Cross Church for over 20 years, where he enjoyed providing for young members to attend youth camp. He assisted the local school and other churches with donations to worthy causes, as well as support of national organizations such as Boys Town and St. Jude's Children Hospital.

His philanthropy was not limited to established charities, as he was willing to use his resources and knowledge to assist an employee when a need was evident. He will be remembered, with respect by many he employed, not only for that generosity and his strong leadership, but also for his tender heart.

Pastor William Loudermilk officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Leo's name to the Way of the Cross Church or The Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
