Gene Chandler, age 90 of Springboro, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his residence . He was born November 28, 1925 in DeGraff, Ohio to the late Herman and Alta (Bradford) Chandler.
Gene is survived by his wife of 67 years, Amy (Chandler) Chandler; sons, Michael E. (Danya) Chandler and Jim (Kathi) Chandler; grandchildren, Christina, Cole, Luke, Matt, Chris, Tim, Jeff and Jackie; great grandson, Waylon in addition to extended family and friends.
Gene was a graduate of DeGraf High School, and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a Sergeant. Upon his return, Gene attended Miami University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Education and completed his Master's Degree in Human Resources at Bowling Green University. Gene then began his career at General Motors an retired from NCR. Gene was a member of the Sigma Epsilon Fraternity and former Rotarian. Gene was an avid golfer into his 90's and always enjoyed attending all the children's sporting activities.
