Orbin Rowland

Rowland, Orbin, age 77, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Riverside Nursing Home. He was born March 10, 1932 in Verda, KY, the son of the late Howard and Lois (Barton) Rowland. He was retired from Williams Brothers Roofing and Siding after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, William Thomas, James Elmer, and Ernest Rowland; and his sister Betty. Orbin is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn (Ross) Rowland; children, Belinda Redmon, Pamela Sherrill, Debra Rowland, and Teresa Dickerson all of Dayton; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Van Self of Laura, and Janet Miller of New Carlisle. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM until the time of services.
