Opal Spears, age 96 of Huber Heights, passed away November 1, 2012. She was born March 31, 1916 in Midkiff, West Virginia to the late Leander and Cordelia Davis. In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Spears; daughter, Shirley Ann "Sherry" Spears; granddaughter, Sonja Dempsey; and brothers and sisters: Gertrude Lucas, Estelle Adkins, Luther Davis, Redith Payne, Audrey Davis, Harold Davis, Okey Davis, Pauline Forcier, Flora Davis and Troy Davis.
Opal is survived by her children: Sue (Steve) Justice, Nancy Padilla, Sharon (Scott Kinsler) Spears, John (Sue) Spears, Elsie (Mel) Fulmer and Roma Lee (Deanna) Spears; 6 grandchildren: Stephanie Justice, David Padilla, James Cremeans, Cindy Cremeans, Roger Spears and Sherri Crays; and many great grandchildren, including Alisha and David Jr.
