Opal Salyers
November 5, 1934 — February 16, 2014
Opal E. Salyers, age 79 of Huber Heights, passed away February 16, 2014. She was born November 5, 1934 in Williamsport, MD to the late Chester Rohr and Jane Ward. In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Orb Salyers; and daughter, Karen Leiter.
Opal is survived her daughter, Sharon Salyers; grandson, granddaughter and caregivers: Ashley and Steven Bartee; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and sister, Helen (Gary) Kerckaert.
Opal was a LPN at Grandview Hospital for 26 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30-1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
