Opal O'Connell

Opal O'Connell, age 86, passed away February 9, 2015 at the Summit at Park Hills. She was born September 12, 1928 in Harlan, KY to the late, Matt and Lectie Bargo.
Opal is also preceded in death by brothers, Fuston, Bob and Lyle Bargo; sisters, Eslean Shoupe and Della Bargo. She is survived by her children, Paula Mullins, Gail Baker, Toni (John) Beatty, and Stewart Rhoads; grandson, Mark Baker; sisters, Evelyn Ryan, Clarice Kirk, Geraldine Fields; and numerous dear nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Dayton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Summit at Park Hills for all of the wonderful care they gave their Mother.
