Opal F. Smith

Smith, Opal F., 87 yrs old of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born on September 6, 1927 in Anderson, IN. Opal was preceded in death by her husband of 40 yrs, James B. Smith, Sr. and her parents, Kathleen and William Brewster.

Opal was a spunky and very gracious lady who is survived by her sons, James B. Jr. of Huber Heights, David of Texas, Larry and wife, Ellen of Las Vegas; daughter, Debbie Moore and husband Mike of New Carlisle; along with a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and various family members and wonderful friends.

Opal was a member of the Shriners Widows Group. She worked many years before retirement. Opal loved life and lived it to the fullest. That you could tell by her wonderful smile. She never met a stranger who she couldn't be friends with.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Shriners, in Opal's memory.
