Opal F. Smith, age 78 of Medway, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1935 in Peyton, KY to the late, Andrew and Katherine Nickell;
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Stanley Smith; brother, A.C. Nickell; brother-in-law, James Murray.
Opal is survived by her children, Linda (Scott) Dellinger, Chuck (Mavis) Smith, Kimila Smith and Mark (Mary) Smith; grandchildren, Kristi Ryles, Tabitha Dellinger, Andy and Chuck Smith, Jessica and Robert Beeman, Matthew and Mark Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Murray; brother, Clayton (Sharon) Nickell; sister-in-law, Linda Nickell; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was an avid gardener and doll collector. She thoroughly enjoyed her privacy and time alone. Opal enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Opal's wishes were to have a private service at the convenience of her immediate family. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel.
